Directions to Please

  1. 1.Warm your cup or pot — night deserves its own enchantment.
  2. 2.Measure 1 heaped teaspoon per cup into the pot.
  3. 3.Pour in water cooled to 70–80 °C.
  4. 4.Steep 1–4 minutes — one for a whisper of sweetness, four for a fuller embrace.
  5. 5.Strain. Best enjoyed without milk, to let its delicate character shine.
