Shipping & Delivery
When will my order ship?
Orders placed before 3:00 pm AWST on business days are dispatched the same day.
Orders placed later, or on weekends and public holidays, are sent the next business day.
Tracking details are provided for every order as soon as your parcel is on its way.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. Within Australia, orders over $50 qualify for free standard shipping.
Orders over $150 qualify for free express shipping.
All other orders are delivered at a flat rate of $10 Australia-wide.
Do you offer express shipping?
Yes. Express shipping is available Australia-wide for $15.
If your order qualifies for free standard shipping over $50, you can upgrade to express for an additional $10.
All orders over $150 include free express shipping automatically.
Do you ship internationally?
We don’t yet have a flat rate for international orders.
If you let us know what you would like to order, we can prepare a personalised freight quote and arrange delivery.

Returns & Exchanges
What is your returns and exchanges policy?
We accept returns and exchanges within 30 days for products that are unopened, in their original condition, and accompanied by proof of purchase.
Return postage for change-of-mind returns is the responsibility of the customer.
You may choose a refund or an exchange once the item is received.
What if there is a problem with my order?
If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please contact us within 30 days and we will make it right.
We cover any return shipping costs if required.
We will happily arrange a replacement or refund according to your preference.

Tea Storage & Freshness
How should I store my tea?
Store tea in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
Keep away from direct sunlight and strong aromas.
Avoid fridge or freezer storage; condensation can affect the leaves.
How long will my tea stay fresh?
Every package is labelled with a best before date, indicating peak freshness rather than an expiry.
All teas sold have at least 12 months until their best before date.
If a tea has a shorter date, it will be listed separately with the date clearly noted and offered at a discounted price.
Brewing Basics
How much tea should I use?
Use one level teaspoon of loose leaf per teacup (about 150–180 ml).
Use one heaped teaspoon for a larger mug (around 250–300 ml).
What temperature water should I use?
Black teas: freshly boiled water.
Green and white teas: slightly cooler water, around 70–85°C per teacup or mug.
How long should I steep?
Most blends brew beautifully in 2–4 minutes.
Adjust brew time to taste; the perfect brew is the one you enjoy most.
Avoid over-steeping to prevent bitterness, especially in green tea.

Can I re-steep my tea leaves?
Yes. Many teas can be steeped more than once, especially green, white, and oolong.
Add fresh hot water to the same leaves, increasing the steeping time slightly with each infusion.
Enjoy a more delicate flavour with every cup.
Gifting
Can I send an order as a gift?
Yes. You can send any order directly to your recipient by entering their address at checkout.
Prices are never included in the parcel—only on the confirmation email sent to you.
Can I include a gift message?
Yes. You can add a personalised message at checkout.
We’ll print it on a card to include with the parcel so your gift arrives with a personal touch.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes. We offer digital gift cards in a range of values.
They are delivered instantly by email.
They can be redeemed online for any of our teas or accessories.
Can I place a bulk or corporate gift order?
Yes. We are happy to help with larger or corporate gifting, whether for client thank-yous, team celebrations, or events.

Ordering & Payment
How can I place an order?
Browse our website, add your chosen teas and accessories to your cart, and proceed to checkout.
You don’t need an account to order, but creating one helps track purchases and reorder favourites.
Our checkout is hosted securely by Shopify.
Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards via Shopify Payments.
We also accept PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay.
All transactions are processed securely, and your payment details are never stored by us.
Can I use a gift card or discount code?
Yes. At checkout you’ll find a field to enter a gift card or promotional discount code.
Digital gift cards can be used across multiple orders until the balance is fully spent.
Can I change or cancel my order?
If you need to make a change or cancel, please contact us right away at teatime@highteawithharriet.com.au .

Once an order has shipped it may not be possible to alter it.
Ingredients & Allergens
Are your teas gluten-free and vegan?
Most blends are naturally gluten-free and vegan friendly.
Ingredients and allergens are listed as required under Australian food standards.
Common allergens are always noted clearly on the product page so you can order with confidence.
Where are your teas sourced?
We source from renowned tea gardens in Sri Lanka, India, China, and beyond.
Each leaf is selected for quality and character.
All blends are carefully packed in Australia.
Do your teas contain artificial flavours or additives?
We focus on pure, premium loose leaf teas and natural ingredients.
Some blends are enhanced with natural flavours, fruits, herbs, or spices.
We do not use artificial additives.
Full ingredients are always listed on each product page, in line with Australian food standards.
Do your teas contain caffeine?
Yes, some blends naturally contain caffeine.
Black, green, and white teas have varying levels of caffeine.
Herbal tisanes and rooibos blends are naturally caffeine-free.
If you’re looking to avoid caffeine, our herbal range is the perfect choice.

Do you offer wholesale accounts?
