Stainless steel underneath, with a gold PVD finish bonded to the surface rather than painted on. Shaped to hold exactly one level teaspoon, with High Tea with Harriet along the handle. Small enough to live in the tea caddy, so the measure is always to hand.

Lady Harriet never trusted a guess where tea was concerned. Too little and the cup was thin; too much and it sulked. So she kept a little gold spoon in the caddy and measured every pot by it, one level spoon per cup and one for the pot.
